This week, Swing Care expanded insurance coverage in Texas to include UnitedHealthcare plans, bringing comprehensive, holistic fibromyalgia care to the second-largest commercial payor in the state.
Swing Care previously announced in-network coverage for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas and Medicare Part B health plans in March 2023. With the addition of UnitedHealthcare, more Texas residents can now access personalized fibromyalgia treatment through their insurance.
“We take a comprehensive approach to care that is truly multimodal, has robust clinical data, and that can treat the whole patient,” said Swing Care Medical Director Dr. Andrea Chadwick. “We’re committed to making this patient-centered form of care more accessible to everyone, and working with United brings us another step toward that goal.”
Swing Care is the first virtual care platform specifically for comprehensive fibromyalgia treatment, offering in-depth consultation and evidence-based medication management as well as non-drug treatment options. These evidence-based treatments include Stanza, an FDA-cleared digital behavioral therapy intended for treatment of fibromyalgia symptoms, as a component of care.
