We’re pleased to announce that Swing Care is now in-network with Capital Blue Cross and Independence Blue Cross (IBX) in Pennsylvania. Adding to existing coverage in Pennsylvania (including Aetna, Highmark, Medicare, UnitedHealthcare and UPMC), this is a major step forward in making comprehensive, holistic fibromyalgia care more accessible across the state.
What This Means for Patients:
With this new coverage:
- If your health plan is under Capital Blue Cross or Independence Blue Cross, you may now receive Swing Care services with in-network benefits, with as little as $0 share of cost to you.
- You can pursue comprehensive fibromyalgia care (including medical management, non-drug treatments, behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based treatments) through your existing insurance plan.
- There’s no need to navigate out-of-network claims, complicated reimbursements, or surprise bills (beyond any standard copays or cost-sharing under your IBX or Capital plan).
Why Coverage for Fibromyalgia Care Matters
At Swing Care, we believe that truly effective fibromyalgia treatment is multimodal and patient-first. Unfortunately, many patients don’t have access to this type of care.
Our care pathway couples:
- Fibromyalgia-specific medication management
- Behavioral therapy (such as Stanza or equivalent evidence-based tools)
- Personalized lifestyle coaching (e.g. movement therapies, sleep coaching, pacing strategies and more)
- Ongoing monitoring and support with expert medical oversight
By expanding insurance partnerships, Swing Care is able to remove more access barriers, so that more Pennsylvanians with fibromyalgia can access this level of care without needing to pay full out-of-pocket.
